Hello to my fellow F1 enthusiasts who somehow googled and ended up on my website, I hope you will find the information here useful because one month ago (before the 2026 race), I was super frustrated with not getting the answers to the million and one questions I had before the race. Now that the race is over and I have all the information on hand, it is time to share it with whoever might need the info.
Let me start by sharing the seating plan we all wished we had prior to buying the tickets. If you plan to extract this information and re-post it anywhere, I hope you give the credits/linkback to my page as I really spent a long time to piece out this information. Disclaimer: This is based solely on my 2026 experience so please don’t hold me responsible for future races as I wouldn’t know for sure!

In the image above, you will be able to determine the approximate view from your seat – and which team garage it may be facing. I will share some real life photos of my own for 2026.
The numbers in the mint circles above represents the constructor ranking of the previous season (E.g. 2025 constructor ranking determines 2026 garage position).
For 2026 (which is based on the 2025 rankings), this is the order:
- McLaren
- Mercesdes
- Red Bull
- Ferrari
- Williams
- Red Bull Racing
- Aston Martin
- Haas
- Sauber -> Audi
- Alpine
- Cadillac (New)
So based on my estimated sitting plan above, this is kind of a guess at what you will be in for depending on your seats.
[Pit Grandstand, Section A3 – A4]
In this area, you should be getting a good view of the podium, pit entry and the garage of the winners of the previous year. In addition, you should also be getting the best view of the start of the drivers parade on Sunday as I notice that they will usually enter/exit the vehicles from the left side. For the past two years, the drivers parade has featured individual drivers in their own car. I believe this should continue to be the norm moving forward. The only downside about being in this area is that you will probably not have a TV screen near you which is rather annoying as you won’t be able to keep up with the race and the overtaking. I tried to stream on my phone before but the broadcast is usually about 20 to 40 seconds slower than the live action.
[Pit Grandstand, Section A5 – A6]
A5 should be the best view of the winners’ garage but the view is only good if you’re like row 10 and above. Otherwise, you will be close to the track but you won’t be able to see the tyre changes as the pitwall would be blocking you. You’ll still be able to see the entry/exit, which is not blocked by the pitwall.
My view below was taken at the Sky suites area which is even higher than “Super Pit” which is row 15 and beyond. So bear in mind that the closer you are to the track means that you might have lesser view of the garage especially if your seat faces the pit wall directly. If you get an angled/side-view I think it should still be fine but that really goes down to your exact seat location.
[Pit Grandstand, Section A7- A8]
This was my view at A7, row 8. I was right in front of Mercedes garage, and I was a little sad at the start because I’m a McLaren fan but guess what, the side view was really good too!
Here’s my side view of McLaren tyre change. Given that my phone is only iphone 15 (non-pro), I think I got a rather decent shot of all that action.
The image below is from my friend at A8, Row 6. She had full view of the Red Bull Garage but as she was 2 rows in front of me (Row 8), you can see that there is less of a view of the cars when entering the garage area.
Anyway, showing more photos of my A7, row 8 seat. It was near Carlos at the starting position and that was P14. In case you want to hope and pray, your drivers qualifying on the ‘even’ numbers means they will be closer to you at the start.
[Pit Grandstand, Section A14]
I believe this is one of the most sought-after areas in the pit straight grandstand. This is where the starting line lies and the national anthem line-up grid would also be at this area which means that you would be able to see all the drivers up close!

Okay that’s the end of my sharing as I don’t have any photo evidence of the rest of the areas.
So to summarise, my top priority in selecting a grandstand ticket would actually need to be near a screen. As much as I enjoy watching the race ‘live’, being at pit-straight means that most of the action don’t actually happen in front of you. Though in 2026, I saw George slide and crash during the sprint at the pit straight wall and it had been quite traumatizing. When that moment happen, apart from being genuinely concered on his safety, I was also praying hard that all the other drivers could react fast enough and take the necessary avoiding actions. Singapore is a pretty boring race and all the overtakes will happen not at pitstraight which means that the screen is really vital for you to know what is happening on track.
If you really want the most face-time with the drivers, you should consider getting the lower rows from A5 to A14. I personally feel the pre-race preparation is the longest time you can catch the drivers, even with the helmets off. On race day, the cars will leave the garage for a practice lap and then get wheeled into the starting position. As weird as it sounds, the driver don’t leave the car and they will get pushed into position from the last place of the grid, to their correct position. So you will get to see the drivers (in the car) going past you – like the below shot where I saw Lando get wheeled past me to his starting grid position.
If you want to have a view of more cars and more action, the higher rows would be a better choice.
That being said, given that there’s no sprint race next year, Day 1 consisting of 2 practice sessions would actually feel quite boring. In fact, Day 2 might also be a little boring too as there wouldn’t be much on track action apart from the practice start. The garage action for practice and qualifying is quite boring in my opinion but each to its own I guess.
Hope you found this post useful and do let me know if you have any questions about the race in Singapore and I’ll try to help to the best of my ability.
