What to eat in Hong Kong – Part 2

It’s been 2 years since my last visit to Hong Kong (Click to read my Part 1 entry back in 2014) and I’m glad that the travel buddies (plus the ones I met) were the #willtravelforfood type. Throughout this entire 4 days, I did not explore any tourist attractions (expect for climbing up Signal Hill in an attempt to look for far fetch) and the main objective of my trip was for food and to catch up with my Hong Kong friends and to play monopoly deal in the hotel room (yes.. I was traveling with my one and only monopoly deal clique; are we the only ones in the world?)

Here’s my foodie itinerary summary before I go into the details.

Day 1, Lunch @ Kam’s Roast Goose

Address: G/F, Po Wah Commercial Center, 226 Hennessy Road, Wan Chai 灣仔軒尼詩道226號寶華商業中心地舖

Nearest MTR: Wan Chai MTR, Exit A4

Openrice HK Link: http://www.openricopenrice.com/…ong-chinese-bbq-r175339/mape.com/en/hongkong/r-kams-roast-goose-wan-chai-guangdong-chinese-bbq-r175339

Since we were staying in Wan Chai and this famous Michelin Star Roast Goose restaurant was within the vicinity, it became our first meal in Hong Kong! Despite it being like 2/3pm on a Friday afternoon, we still had to queue for approximately 30 to 45 minutes before getting a seat. We ordered like 4 different types of meat – Roast Goose, Roast Pork, Char Siew and some other meat but the only meat that left an impression in me was the Roast Goose. It was a familiar conclusion back when I ate Joy Hing few years back. If the shop’s specialty is that particular dish, do not even attempt to try your luck on the other dishes as it will usually end up in a disappointment.

Verdict:
Roast Goose – 5/5 (The combination of the tender meat and crispy skin was a taste of perfection)
Everything else – 2.5/5 (With high expectations comes with huge disappointment.. I was expecting a lot more from this restaurant which had been featured on a Michelin guide)

On a side note, my friends really enjoyed the roast goose and dabao-ed roast goose and rice twice during the trip. The queue for take-out is a lot shorter.

Day 1, Tea @ Sing Heung Yen (勝香園)

Address: 2 Mei Lun Street, Central 中環美輪街2號排檔

Nearest MTR: Sheung Wan MTR, Exit A2 6-min walk

Openrice HK Link: http://www.openrice.com/en/hongkong/r-sing-heung-yuen-central-hong-kong-style-r10577

This place is pretty famous for being one of the more traditional HK cafe which probably looked the same 30 to 40 years ago. Situated along the mid-mountain 半山 of Central, we took some escalators up and this place is situated really near the escalators! As we went there around 4 plus 5pm, we did not have to queue and walked right in. Despite not having a crowd, we were rushed at least thrice for our orders. Looking at the menu above (which was in traditional chinese and it was our first day in Hong Kong), we struggled to match the words with the images in my head. Eventually, I used my openrice app to decide on what to eat – which was the pork bun and milk tea. My other friends had greater appetite – eating noodles despite having eaten the roast goose meal less than an hour ago..

Verdict:
Roast Pork Bun – 3.5/5 The bun was really fluffy and cripsy but I thought that the price (HKD24) was rather steep.
Ice Milk Tea – 4.5/5. I really like the tea as the tea taste is really strong and there’s just something special about the milk which is different.

Day 1, Shopping for Cookies @ Jenny’s Bakery

Address: Ground Floor, 15 Wing Wo Street, Sheung Wan 上環永和街15號地舖

Nearest MTR: Sheung Wan MTR, Exit E1 3-min walk

Openrice HK Link: http://www.openrice.com/en/hongkong/r-jenny-bakery-sheung-wan-western-bakery-r144746

If you haven’t heard of Jenny’s Bakery or 小熊饼干 you must have been as Mountain Tortoise as I were during my previous trip where I asked a random stranger who had been queuing at a random roadside near Chunking Mansions. Can you believe how ecstatic I was when I walked past the Jenny Bakery Sheung Wan outlet by chance and that there was no queue. It was about 5 to 6PM on a Friday. In fact, I hesitated at the entrance for a while, wondering if this was a hoax shop. Upon entering, I saw posters warning customers against counterfeit cookies and.. I concluded that I was at the real shop. Well, I didn’t plan on buying these cookies as I thought that the queue would be insanely long but since I was that lucky, I had to buy something right? I ended up buying 2 small boxes of 4 flavours ( 9 cookies * 4 flavours) which comes in a square box and another Large box (the one in the picture above) which contains 2 layers of 35 cookies. I wished I could buy more but it was my first day (and I have never tried the legendary cookies before so I wasn’t certain that I would like it) and they only accepted cash and I didn’t bring a lot of money over to Hong Kong.

But.. now that I’ve tasted the cookies, it’s definitely a 5/5 and I really wished I bought more!! Also, the biscuits did not crumble despite me checking it in my luggage (with a lot of clothes as buffer). So I guess I could buy more in my next trip, provided there isn’t a long queue.. To be honest, I’m not sure if the queue has shortened (since the craze has already been a few years) or I was really lucky that evening.. Prices and sizes can be found in their official website: http://www.jennybakery.com/wp/

Day 1, Dinner @ Yum Cha

Address: 3/F, 20-22 Granville Road, Tsim Sha Tsui 尖沙咀加連威老道20-22號3樓

Nearest MTR: Tsim Sha Tsui (TST), Exit B2 4-min walk

Openrice HK Link:  http://www.openrice.com/zh/hongkong/r-%E9%A3%B2%E8%8C%B6-%E5%B0%96%E6%B2%99%E5%92%80-%E7%B2%B5%E8%8F%9C-%E5%BB%A3%E6%9D%B1-%E9%BB%9E%E5%BF%83-r472963

My Hong Kong friend brought me to this place – famous for cute and photogenic dimsum dishes! I’m not sure of the price though since I didn’t get to pay for the bill but it should be rather expensive.. Maybe about $30-40/pax. Anyway, it was really delicious and the shop was full + queue by the time we were done (it was a friday night).

This green tea thing was super delicious!!

Verdict: 4/5 – Definitely worth a try but slightly pricey..
Day 1,  Dessert @ NORAYO K.Cafe

Address: 2/F., Southgate Commercial Centre, 29 Granville Road, Tsim Sha Tsui 尖沙咀加連威老道29號信基商業中心2樓

Nearest MTR: Tsim Sha Tsui (TST), Exit B1 5-min walk

Verdict:
Instagram worthy – 5/5
Value for money – 3/5
Taste – 3.5/5

Day 2 (Saturday)

Day 2, Breakfast @ Honolulu Cafe

Address: G/F & Mezz Floor, 176-178 Hennessy Rd., Wan Chai 灣仔軒尼詩道176-178號地下及閣樓

Nearest MTR: Wan Chai, Exit A4 5-min walk

Openrice HK Link: http://www.openrice.com/en/hongkong/r-honolulu-coffee-shop-wan-chai-hong-kong-style-bakery-r1318

As our hotel was at Wan Chai, Honolulu Cafe was barely a 5 minutes walk and it became my breakfast every morning. I munched an egg tart a day. I didn’t know what to order so I ended up with this random beef sandwich which I saw from a picture on Openrice.. and it turned out to be really average as the beef was too salty. The meat portion was decent but that’s about it. I didn’t have good memories of the Milk Tea either (maybe the one I had the previous day was too awesome). My conclusion? Only eat the egg tarts plus.. you can even dabao them back to Singapore! I did that and it was 70% as good if you warm it before eating. Otherwise, it’s only 30% as delicious. I thought my colleagues would give me the heavenly face when they eat it but they didn’t (maybe because it was cold). Oh and the egg tart was so good that my friend ate only egg tarts (3 in fact) for breakfast on our last day.

Oh by the way, we did a vote between this egg tart and Tai Chung’s one and.. Honolulu’s egg tart won!

Verdict:
Egg Tart: 4.5/5
Everything else: 3/5

Day 2, Lunch@ Mrs Tang Cafe 華嫂冰室

Address: Shop 1, King Palace Plaza, 55 King Yip Street, Kwun Tong 觀塘敬業街55號皇廷廣場1號舖

Nearest MTR: Kwan Tong, Exit B2 8-min walk

Openrice HK Link: http://www.openrice.com/en/hongkong/r-mrs-tang-cafe-kwun-tong-hong-kong-style-noodles-rice-noodles-r470035

Okay this was an insane place. The queue was super long and I think we queued more than an hour to get a seat. It was a Saturday afternoon by the way.

Anyway what’s shocking is that I even saw a pregnant lady (should me mid 3rd to 4th trimester) standing and queuing for this shop. Woah, this must be really good for that much hype. Thankfully I was with a friend that we haven’t met in a while so the wait was rather bearable. On a hindsight, this was a pretty reasonable queue compared to the claypot rice and sushi I had 3 years back. It was almost a 2 hours wait for that =/ This shop originated for Yuen Lang and this was like a rather new branch, which explains the hype.

Yay english menu! Their set menu is not exactly straightforward. Sometimes you read from left to right, sometimes you read from top to bottom..

And if you’re gonna wonder what amazing food this place serves.. Well, it was just the usual cha can ting Teahouse food that Hong Kongers love.

The milk tea was decent but I was perhaps too hungry that afternoon and I can’t seem to remember how good it was.

This bun was a must try on the menu! It’s like crispy po lo feel which could be a little on the oily side but gosh it is delicious. Just butter, tomato and egg. Easy to cook, easy to serve, easy to eat.

Ahh, I was so excited to try this tomato noodles! The previous time I ate tomato egg noodles at another place, it was not to my liking at all and this tomato noodles was super amazing! It’s like a special type of tomato soup or paste which is really tasty. I can imagine that they probably broiled tomatoes for a couple of hours to get this effect. Have never tasted anything like this in Singapore before..

Can’t really recall much about the dish except that it was macaroni. Oh by the way the one below is known as red/preserved sausage and the one above is known as sausage.

Verdict: 4/5

I would eat it again if the queue was less than 20 minutes.

Day 2, Dinner @ 十八座狗仔粉

Address: 元朗建業街59號

Nearest MTR: Yuen Long,  Exit B 10-min walk from

Openrice HK Link: http://www.openrice.com/en/hongkong/r-%E5%8D%81%E5%85%AB%E5%BA%A7%E7%8B%97%E4%BB%94%E7%B2%89-yuen-long-hong-kong-style-r178299

So.. I accompanied my friend all the way to Yuen Long (her hometown) because I wanted to explore the more localized places in Hong Kong. It’s pretty interesting as there were tram buses and it looks equally busy as any other town area. Imagine going to Jurong East or Tampines.. that kind of heartland crowd. Anyway, she wanted to bring me to a famous ramen place and we kind of spend a long time getting lost and after reaching the place at about 7pm.. there was a sign which says like close for the day, behind a queue of about 15 to 20 people.. what..? It was a freaking Saturday night and they don’t have enough food already T_T damn. That place must be really awesome. I have a feeling it is this place.

Anyway, so the ramen visit failed and I asked for really really local food and I got 2 dishes of something I can’t remember the name of. Well this shop is kind of popular with some celebrities and they displayed some photos on the outside.

If I’m not wrong, the thing below is some duck dish 火鴨翅 which was not bad but after the initial mouthful, it got really really salty. I don’t think I can finish a full bowl alone.

The next popular dish was called 狗仔粉 which felt like udon texture cut into small pieces so that it look like dog shit? haha i have no idea how to translate the name. Similar to the duck thing, it was too salty for me and I was drinking tea most of the time. I guess, really really localized food ain’t a think for me. At least now for this shop.

Verdict: 2/5

Everything was too salty for my liking.

Day 2, Dessert @ Kei Kee Dessert 佳記甜品

Address: Kau Yuk Road, Yuen Long 元朗教育路大坑渠側

Openrice HK Link: http://www.openrice.com/en/hongkong/r-kei-kee-dessert-yuen-long-hong-kong-style-dessert-r1632

Next up, now that we were done with dinner, we went to a dessert shop which has like really long queue but the queue was kind of hidden and I don’t know what my friend did she just went into the shop and got us a seat. Only after sitting down, did we realise that there’s a queue at the other entrance.. 不知者无罪 right? I’m not sure what’s the eat-out etiquette in HK but we didn’t get stoned or anything. We could proceed with making orders.

Image from Openrice HK

Well, just a damn random thing.. This place is a dessert shop but it’s best seller is actually spicy chicken wing wings. The entire dish only has the tip of the chicken wing. Like if u cut the wing into 3 parts, it is the sharp bony part and you put a lot of the together, it becomes a popular dish of a dessert shop. I totally can’t understand the synergy but people in the shop eats that spicy wings alongside with ice cold mango dessert like the one below. Anyway, the choices that I wanted was all not available and we were left with this random Mango Paste over ice thing which was kind of average.. I guess, I need to try the more popular options next time.

Verdict: 2.5/5 Pretty low rating but I guess I didn’t try the right item.

Day 2, Supper @ 福元湯圓 Fook Yuen (Reason I visit HK for) @ Fortress Hill

Since the first time I’ve tried this out in 2013, I have never tasted any tangyuan which is comparable to this outlet. It is so good that I was tempted to buy the frozen ones and dabao home but I didn’t really know how to ask or whether my request makes sense or not.. I hope this shop stays for good.. Every trip to Hong Kong would not be complete (for me) without a visit to this shop..

Review can be found in What to eat in Hong Kong Part 1

All hail to the legendary godlike tangyuan which I introduce to everyone who is heading over to Hong Kong. You know when I first saw the outlet this trip, there’s a huge sense of familiarity and I kind of still recognize the guy that was working there.

Verdict: 5/5 (Anyday, Anytime if you are eating at the store)

If you do a takeout.. It might drop to a 3.5/10

Day 3, Breakfast @ Honolulu Cafe (Take Out) @ Wan Chai

Most convenient breakfast choice from our accommodation.

Day 3, Lunch @ 龍景軒 Lung King Heen (3 Michelin Star Dim Sum)

Address: Podium 4, Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong, 8 Finance Street, Central 中環金融街8號香港四季酒店4樓

Nearest MTR: Hong Kong MTR Station, Exit E1 7-min walk

Openrice HK Link: http://www.openrice.com/en/hongkong/r-lung-king-heen-central-guangdong-fine-dining-r14642

My first and only experience at a 3-star Michelin restaurant was given to Lung King Heen. It has a dress code policy (no slippers, shorts etc.) and it is really like 5-star standard. It was a pity we couldn’t get the window seat to get a better view of the harbour. I took a star ferry from Tsim Tsa Tsui and it was quite a walk from the terminal. Oh wells.

The dish below cost us 400 HKD whic is approximately 16 SGD per piece.. like.. what?! I was kind of shocked at the super small portion of this suckling pig but now that I think about it.. atas restaurants like to serve small portions. It was delicious, the skin was crispy and juicy but 16 SGD per bite was a little too expensive.. Well, it was the only non-dimsum dish we ordered.

We ordered dim-sum because it was.. the cheaper alternative.. BBQ Pork Roll at HKD 92.

The good thing about this place is that you can request to increase the portion to x4 instead of the usual x3 per basket by paying the difference! This allowed all of us to try the dishes one piece each!

Har Gao at HKD 26 per piece.

Goose Dumpling – HKD 26 each

Xiao Long Bao (a miss) @ HKD 26

I guess.. you shouldn’t go to a Cantonese cuisine place to eat Shanghainese dish? #mistake

This is the sacred BBQ Pork Bun (HKD 26) which made my friend return for a second visit. It was nice but it’s not something that I will crave and think about the taste often.. I don’t know.. or maybe I’m just not comfortable spending so much money on food. haha.

This dessert Osmanthus jelly was on the house!

Verdict: 4/5

It’s nice but.. pricey. It cost us about $60/pax for a lunch meal but I guess it is cheap in Michelin standard.
Worth a try if you can get a booking but I’ll think twice for the second visit..

Day 3, Tea @ Sai kung Cafe & Bakery (Portugese Egg Tart)

Address: G/F, 6-7 Kam Po Court, 2 Hoi Pong Square, Sai Kung 西貢海傍廣場2號金寶閣6-7號舖地下

Nearest MTR: NIL

Openrice HK Link: http://www.openrice.com/en/hongkong/r-sai-kung-cafe-bakery-sai-kung-hong-kong-style-bakery-r10415/

So we went all the way to Sai Kung (about 90 mins via train + bus) and.. ate a Portuguese egg tart from a long queue bakery.

It’s delicious, really. But I guess you have to eat it hot. I regretted not queuing again and dabao-ing.. oh wells. next time.

Crispy on the outside

Verdict: 5/5
Day 3, Dinner @ Seafood Islands Restaurant 海鮮島海鮮酒家@ Po Toi O

Address: Shop B, 7 Po Toi O, Sai Kung 西貢清水灣布袋澳7號B舖

Nearest MTR: NIL

Openrice HK Link: http://www.openrice.com/en/hongkong/r-seafood-island-seafood-restaurant-sai-kung-guangdong-seafood-r12364

Well, our plan initially was to eat seafood at Sai Kung but after my friend did a bit of research, we realised that there were many recommendations for this restaurant in Po Tai O. It was supposed to be delicious and affordable. Of course I would jump upon any opportunity to explore a new place! We had to take a bus from Saikung terminal, and then we failed to board the connecting bus. We were waiting at the bus stop but the connecting bus just drove pass us and we couldn’t understand the driver’s hand signal. Anyway, we ended up taking a taxi to this rather ulu location (long and winding mountain roads) which wasn’t that expensive since the fare was divided by four.

The place is very accessible by mini bus (there’s a bus stop at where we alighted from the cab) but you need to note that there’s only one bus serving the entire stretch and you might be sardine-packed on weekends.

The place we visited.. is rather old school. It looks like a place which hasn’t been renovated since the 1990s.

I suppose it is probably a fishing village or something along that line. There are 2 restaurants down the same lane but we visited the one as recommended.

You kind of get to choose your own seafood from the tanks and decide the style that you wish to cook it in.

We had black pepper clams.

Fried Calamari.

Some Mantis Prawn or something fried with garlic. My friend’s enjoyed this dish a lot.

Fried Chilli Crab.

This was the best – ultra huge scallops with decent serving of garlic.

My conclusion about this place? I think it is not bad (in Hong Kong standards) but I guess seafood isn’t something that Hong Kong is good or proud at. In fact I think the seafood restaurants I dine at locally is pretty decent too. However, if you need to eat seafood in Hong Kong for whatever reasons, this place is definitely x50 times better than the super touristy restaurant I ate in Cheng Chau.

Anyway, this place has more locals than tourists so I guess it must be really reputable.

Verdict: 4/5

Day 3, Supper – 福元湯圓 Fook Yuen

Nightly visit to my favourite tangyuan place..

Day 4, Breakfast @ Honolulu Cafe (Wan Chai)

On our last day, we decided to eat Honolulu again. We didn’t even give any chance to Capitol cafe which was nearer to our hotel. We went straight for egg tarts. My friend ate 3 egg tarts for breakfast. #eggtartsFTW

I ordered this dish from openrice’s photo and it was delicious! I have no idea how they make ordinary egg, mushrooms and ham taste wonders.

After eating, we kind of placed a pre-order for the egg tarts for collection in the evening. Apparently.. the staff recognized us!!

Anyway, upon collection, they gifted us with 2 egg tarts and insisted that my 2 friends had to eat it on the spot while it is hot.

How nice~~

Day 4, Pre-Lunch @ Bake Cheese Tart

Address: Shop 10, B2/F, Sogo, 555 Hennessy Road, Causeway Bay 銅鑼灣軒尼詩道555號崇光百貨B2樓10號舖

Nearest MTR: Causeway Bay, Exit D1 1-min

Openrice HK Link: http://www.openrice.com/en/hongkong/r-bake-cheese-tart-causeway-bay-western-dessert-r460266

I chanced upon this while I was buying cremeria and since I’ve not gotten a chance to eat it while I’m in Singapore (there are still queues, though a lot shorter).

Anyway, my conclusion is.. that I think it is a hype which will die down soon. I kind of prefer pablo more than bake.

Verdict: 3/5

This brand.. is just a hype. Overpriced.. I’d rather eat more honolulu egg tarts with that same price.

Day 4, Pre-Lunch  @ i CREMERiA Dolce Giapponese

Gold Ice Cream

Address: Shop 15, B2/F, Sogo, 555 Hennessy Road, Causeway Bay 銅鑼灣軒尼詩道555號崇光百貨B2樓15號舖

Nearest MTR: Causeway Bay, Exit D1 1-min

Openrice HK Link: http://www.openrice.com/en/hongkong/r-i-cremeria-dolce-giapponese-causeway-bay-japanese-ice-cream-yogurt-r464291

As my once-favourite froyo shop Crumbs was gone, I asked my HK friend on what’s the next viral food and she told me to try iCremeria.

Seriously, looking at the image below, how could you resist not eating GOLD ICE CREAM. This was like real gold paper and I’m like wow.. what would gold taste like?

The moment I saw the shop, I pointed at this gold ice cream without even checking the price.

After reality sank in, I realised I paid 98 HKD for a hokkaido-milk soft serve with gold paper.

That’s like.. SGD 17-18 for one cone of ice cream.. like seriously. Well, the “blessing” in disguise was that I had 2 gold paper on my ice cream instead of 1. The guy was so stressed that he kept breaking the i-think-is-super-expensive gold paper. So what does gold taste like? I don’t know!! Was there even a taste? =/ On the other hand, the soft serve was delicious.. I guess you can never go wrong with Hokkaido milk.

If you think paying HKD 98 for a soft serve is expensive, wait till you see their most expensive item in the menu – HKD 220 for half a melon with soft serve. I do see and smell the displayed melons at the counter but.. forking out $40 for a dessert.. I guess I’ll pass.

Verdict: 3/5

Eat it once to take your instagram worthy photo. I might consider eating it again at half price.

Day 4 Lunch – 豚王銅鑼灣 Butao @ Causeway Bay

Address: Shop 4, G/F, V Point, 18 Tang Lung Street, Causeway Bay 銅鑼灣登龍街18號V Point地下4號舖

Nearest MTR: Causeway Bay, Exit B 4-min walk

Openrice HK Link: http://www.openrice.com/en/hongkong/r-butao-ramen-causeway-bay-japanese-ramen-r501019

This is like my biggest gem of the trip. The universe-in-a-bowl ramen that I ate back in 2013 opened a new outlet in Causeway bay.

Now here’s the dumb thing that happen. I entered the shop and I’m like wow. its 14:30 and I qualify for the tea time promo.

Looking at the price of HKD 50 i’m like.. wow it must be my lucky day, how can the discount be so good? So I went ahead and order and.. my HKD 50 ramen was.. the mini size ramen..

Any idea how disappointed I was to only see one piece of meat in this mini bowl.. Maybe I should have just gotten the english menu and clarified it.

Anyway, despite the small serving, every single drip and bit was damn bloody delicious. Can’t seem to relate any adjectives to the dish because the taste is so heavenly that I don’t have a suitable word./

The egg is served by itself, usually cold. I will always put the egg back into the noodles to warm it up before biting into the super-seasoned egg. I usually bite a small hold and suck out the egg yolk which is kind of sweet? After which, I will pour the soup in and drink the remnants of the egg yolk before biting it up.

I kind of miss the taste already. Writing this at 2:38am ain’t helping me. I guess I’ll probably dream of it tonight.

Anyway, the egg is not in the set and you have to pay like SGD 3+ for the egg but I’m telling you that it is so damn worth it.

I’ve never had an egg like this before.

And.. as i walk out of the restaurant, I chance upon this poster and I’m like.. WHAT?! THEY SELL TAKE HOME PACKS?

I walked back into the shop and asked if the take home pack can survive 10 hours without being refrigerated. The guy said it was fine, he gave me some dry ice and pack the entire thing nicely into a somewhat bulky but necessary box. It even comes with instructions. Anyway, I packed this into my luggage (do note that the soup is liquid and you will have to check-in) and when i reached home to Singapore 10 hours later, the box was still cold!! Pretty amazing.

Cooked the ramen 1.5 weeks later and followed their recipe exactly. It was like 3/4 minutes on noodles, bowl the meat with the plastic in tack or something along the line and in 20 minutes, you are all ready with this super delicious tonkatsu ramen. The broth is so so so so rich that any drop untouched is extremely wasted. I need to eat this again. #takeallmymoney

Maybe one day it will franchise to SG?

Verdict: 5/5 – My number 1 ramen.
Dinner (Take Out) – Joy Hing Roast Meat@ Wan Chai

Address: Block C, G/F, 265-267 Hennessy Road, Wan Chai 灣仔軒尼詩道265-267號地下C座

Nearest MTR: Wan Chai, Exit A4 5-min walk

Openrice HK Link: http://www.openrice.com/en/hongkong/r-joy-hing-roasted-meat-wan-chai-guangdong-chinese-bbq-r1491

I only managed to eat Joy Hing once during this trip and it was sadly in a take-out box. It was obviously not as delicious and this time round I got more lean meat which makes it a lot less juicier and delicious. Furthermore, I ate this pack of rice cold at the airport =/ I guess it is unfair to give a verdict base on such conditions.

My friends on the other hand, dabao-ed the roast goose for dinner.

Thanks for surviving through my super long-winded entry and I got to admit it is not exactly written in the best way possible because I am very tired.

Anyway, if you do visit Hong Kong, do consider pre-booking a simcard from the website below. It’s the cheapest I’ve found so far.
